Monte Carlo - the crown of the French Riviera - nestled on the Mediterranean Sea in Monaco is famed as the playground for the rich and famous; bursting with the glamour of high-stakes gambling in luxurious casinos, multi-million pound yachts, influential business leaders, beautiful women and celebrities.

Every other year on the city's famous circuit, using a route unchanged since the first race on 14th April 1929, Monte Carlo plays host to a retrospective to the golden age of motor racing, the Monaco Grand Prix.

In 2009 the Grand Prix will be taking place between 21st May & 24th May.
